Giving Back: Mechanical Man’s Team Builds with Habitat for Humanity

On July 21st, the entire staff at Mechanical Man rolled up their sleeves to participate in a Habitat for Humanity home build!

Working alongside the Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County volunteers, our whole team tackled construction tasks on a new 2-story house that will provide a deserving local family of 8 with affordable housing.

After a quick safety briefing, we got to work on the foundation and framing construction. Over the course of the day, we made significant progress on the home. Seeing the house take shape before our eyes was an extremely rewarding experience. Another amazing thing was that owner Fred Graber’s 69-year-old mother, Amanda Graber, was beside him, lending a hand!10

Knowing that we all played a part in helping create an affordable and stable home for a family in need filled us with pride.

Giving back to our community is extremely important to us here at Mechanical Man. We seek out service opportunities like this Habitat build to make a positive local impact when we can. Working shoulder to shoulder to build this house united our team while allowing us to do what we do best – deliver solutions through hard work and expertise.

We thank Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County for organizing this 2-story build and inviting us to participate. We had such a great time working and learning together that we can’t wait for the next build!
